RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expand existing internal universal app to additional platforms, including Vision Pro and Apple Watch. This app is used to detect motion (e.g. drops, impacts, vibration, etc.), gather data/telemetry (e.g. thermals, battery data, and more), and sync data to internal data stores such as Splunk
- Build additional functionality to provide support on watchOS, visionOS, and other platforms — including developing new algorithms for motion/drop detection
- Develop new features, add enhancements, add automated testing, and otherwise create a robust, maintainable codebase for the future. Development will occur on Mac (macOS) using Xcode
- Native app development in Swift and Swift UI (with the possibility of Objective-C legacy code)
- Experience leading a team
- Universal app: to continue to run on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, and expand to watchOS and visionOS
- Unix command line tools, like git, and other basic developer tools
- Experience with databases including PostgreSQL, CoreData, SQLite, etc
- Experience with Splunk
- Experience with Jenkins CI
- Data sync via REST and/or HTTP
- CoreData and native SDK
- Unit shell scripting
